The Hon. Michelle May AM QC
Michelle has more than 35 years of dispute resolution experience in family law; with 22 years serving as a Judge of the Family Court of Australia including the Appeal Division. Michelle has been involved in many complex financial cases both as an advocate and at judicial level. Michelle was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1993. She was the first barrister with a predominately family law practice to achieve that level of seniority in Queensland. She has been involved in government and professional organisations relating to family law at state, national and international levels. Since retiring from the Bench, Michelle has returned to the Bar to practice in alternative dispute resolution as an accredited mediator and arbitrator.

Tom Kirk QC
Mr Kirk’s professional career commenced as a chartered accountant (specialising in income tax) both in Queensland and London before he was admitted to the Bar in 1974. At the time of his appointment as Senior Counsel in 1994 his practice comprised family law and town planning law but within a short period he practised almost exclusively in the Family Court both in Queensland and interstate (in particular, Sydney). Mr Kirk has appeared in many of the leading cases involving property division at both trial and appellate level. He is also a nationally accredited Family Law arbitrator.

Keith Wilson QC
Mr Keith Wilson was admitted to the Queensland Bar in 1985 and took silk in 2002. From 2006 until 2010 Mr Wilson sat as a Federal Magistrate in Brisbane. Since returning to the bar, he has resumed a wide-ranging general civil practice, including work in the family courts. He has also undertaken family law mediations. He is a nationally accredited mediator. In 2012, he completed the mediation course at Harvard University. Mr Wilson is also a qualified family law arbitrator.
Philip Looney QC
Mr Philip Looney was first called to the Bar in 1996 and took silk in 2012. Prior to this, Mr Looney had a 14 year career as a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience both in Australia and overseas. As a barrister, he practices mainly in Family Law and tax litigation and also in commercial, corporate and insolvency law. In addition to being an accredited Family Law arbitrator, Mr Looney is regularly called on to act as a mediator, particularly in commercial disputes.

Dr Jacoba Brasch QC
Dr Jacoba Brasch was admitted to the Bar in 2000 and has developed a practice in family law, mental health law, and customs and excise. She has appeared in matters in most States and Territories of Australia and often appears in the Full Court of the Family Court of Australia. Dr Brasch has also appeared a number of times in the High Court of Australia with those appearances concerning customs and excise, as well as Family Law matters and The Hague Convention (child abduction). She is also a nationally accredited Family Law arbitrator and undertakes Family Law mediations.
Tedd Jordan
Mr Tedd Jordan has practised exclusively in Family Law since 1989, firstly as a solicitor and since 2002 as a Barrister. He is a contributing author to CCH Family Law and Practice Service and regularly delivers papers on Family Law and mediation topics. Mr Jordan is a former Board member of the Family Law Practitioners Association. He is also a nationally accredited Family Law arbitrator and mediator.
Greg Shoebridge
Mr Greg Shoebridge was called to the Bar in 2008. Prior to this, he practised in family law exclusively as a solicitor for over 14 years and was an Accredited Family Law Specialist. In addition to being an accredited Family Law arbitrator, Mr Shoebridge holds National accreditation as a mediator and is also a Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner for family law matters.
Sarah Minnery
Ms Sarah Minnery has practised exclusively as a family lawyer for over 14 years. Prior to being called to the Bar in 2013, she practised as a solicitor including as an Accredited Family Law Specialist and family law partner. Ms Minnery has accounting qualifications and is also is a contributing author for various national publications. She is a nationally accredited Family Law arbitrator.
Rebecca Horsley
Ms Rebecca Horsley was called to the Bar in 2014. Prior to this, she practised exclusively in family law as a solicitor for five years. In addition to being an accredited family law arbitrator, Ms Horsley is an accredited specialist in family law, holds national accreditation as a mediator and is also a family dispute resolution practitioner. Ms Horsley is a board member of the Family Law Practitioners Association (Queensland).
